SOLD: Swedish Gustavian Style 1920s Painted Extension Dining Table with Four Leaves

SOLD: A Swedish Gustavian style painted wood extension dining room table from the early 20th century, with four leaves and carved foliage. Created in Sweden during the first quarter of the 20th century, this Gustavian style dining room table features an oval top resting on an elegant apron adorned with carved foliage. Raised on five tapered legs with spade feet, the table showcases four leaves (each measuring 23.5") that can be removed at will. While it can be sometimes difficult to find a traditional Swedish table with a carved apron on the extensions, this one presents a continuous apron running through the length, regardless of the number of leaves used. Once the leaves are fully removed, the piece becomes a round top table. Its elegant simplicity, as well as its light color palette typical of the Scandinavian taste, will make this Swedish Gustavian style oval table circa 1920 a perfect choice to decorate any dining room or breakfast area.
