SOLD Swedish Gustavian Style Painted Oval Extension Dining Table with Three Leaves

SOLD A Swedish Gustavian style painted wood extension dining room table from the 19th century, with carved diamond motifs, brass accents and three new leaves. Created in Sweden during the 19th century, this Swedish dining room table features an oval top resting on an elegant apron adorned with diamond motifs carved in low relief. Raised on six tapered legs with brass feet, the table showcases three leaves that can be removed at will. While it can be sometimes difficult to find a traditional Swedish table with a carved apron on the extensions, this one presents a continuous carved apron running through the length, regardless of the number of leaves used. Its classical lines as well as its light color palette typical of the Scandinavian taste, will make this Gustavian style 19th century Swedish oval table a perfect choice to decorate any dining room or breakfast area. The apron is 25" H. Each leaf is 19.5" W and the table, becoming a round table closed, is then 47" W.
