Created in England during the Midcentury period, this vintage rocking chair features a delicately curving stick back with out-scrolling accents, adorned with a semi-circular woven rattan pattern accented with stacked flattened beads and conic motifs. Two curving arms wrapped in rattan surround a seat presenting a thin cushion, the fabric of which is in used condition. These arms are accented with straight supports in the front topped with petite spheres echoed from the top. The chair is raised on four turned spindle-shaped legs resting on the rockers. These legs are connected to one another through slender side stretchers placed at various heights and adorned with a single scrolling motif in the front. With its unusual design and rustic appearance, this English vintage rocking chair will make for a charming addition to any home, particularly placed under a covered patio or in a nursery.
