SOLD - Pair of Early 19th Century French Rococo Style Carved and Painted Candlesticks

SOLD - A pair of French Rococo style painted and carved wooden candlesticks from the 19th century, with gilt accents. Created in France during the early years of the 19th century, each of this pair of candlesticks features the typical curvature found on Rococo pieces. The candleholder at the top is adorned with acanthus leaves while the entire body is accented with bulbous shapes. The tripod base on which each candlestick is resting attracts our eyes with its volutes and paw feet. With their graceful lines and lovely painted and gilt finish, this pair of French early 19th century Rococo style candlesticks will be lovely decorative additions to any home, perhaps placed on a pair of demilunes, chest-of-drawers or a credenza.
