Swedish Walnut - Originally from a lovely home near Gnesta Sweden - Circa 1880 - Good quality sarcophagus form walnut sewing box, complete with working lock and key. Made using striking burr walnut timbers, hinged lid opens to reveal a lift out tray containing partitions with reels and velvet pin cushion. Tray could be put aside and used as a plain box if desired. Rich golden color.
