SOLD - A Swedish oval top two-pillar extension dining table from the late 19th century with single removable leaf, tripod bases and bronze lion paw feet on casters. Created in Sweden during the last quarter of the 19th century, this dining table features an oval top, sitting above a two-pillar base. This top separates into two parts and an extension leaf can be added. Each section is supported by a pedestal base raised on three scrolling legs with bronze lion paw feet mounted on casters. The table will therefore be moved more easily. The ensemble is painted in a soft color typical of the Swedish taste for light palettes aiming at brightening the rooms during the dark winters of Scandinavia. It boasts rustic character and a nicely distressed patina.
