Created in France during the 19th century, this center table showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI, classical style. The table features an oval top, adorned with an exquisite marquetry décor depicting flowers and scrolling foliage standing out beautifully on a quarter veneer ground. This top is sitting above an elegant apron concealing a drawer in the front. Its dovetail construction reveals the piece's age. The ensemble is raised on four tapered legs with cross banding and is mounted on petite brass feet. The table is decorated equally on each side, it will therefore be able to float in a room and be seen from all angles.
