SOLD - A French bronze sculpture from the 19th century, depicting a horse with left leg raised, on oval base. Created in France during the 19th century, this bronze statuette features an elegant horse depicted in an energetic position, his front left leg raised. Bowing his head down, the horse showcases great details in his treatment, particularly visible in his muscles and mane. His has a saddle with stirrups strapped around his waist while the reins, noseband, browband are accented by a golden patina. The horse is standing on an oval textured base. With its skillful execution, great finesse of treatment and dark patina, this French horse sculpture from the 19th century will make for a wonderful decorative addition to any home, perhaps placed on the top of a commode, buffet or credenza.
