Created in France during the 19th century, this bouillotte table showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI classical-inspired era. The table features a circular top with white marble inset, surrounded by a pierced brass gallery. The apron is adorned with fluted accents on the knees and presents two drawers and two pull-out shelves. The term bouillotte comes from the card game of the same name (a version of the poker) which became extremely popular in France during the late 18th Century. The table is raised on four slender fluted tapering legs resting on petite brass feet.
