Created in France during the 20th century, this trumeau mirror features the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI era. The mirror showcases a linear silhouette typical of trumeau mirrors, perfectly adorned with a carved décor. The mirror is topped by a cornice carved with an elegant dentil molding, sitting above a first mirror plate of horizontal shape, surrounded by carved motifs made of foliage and petite beads. The lower section presents a vertical mirror plate surrounded by similar motifs. Boasting a nicely weathered patina, the mirror is painted in a soft color with lots of wood coming through, highlighted with soft blue grey accents, particularly present on the pilasters that are flanking the sides.
