SOLD- A French Louis XVI style painted wood trumeau mirror from the 20th century, with dentil molding, carved beads and foliage motifs, as well as light blue grey accents. Created in France during the 20th century, this trumeau mirror features the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI era. The mirror showcases a linear silhouette typical of trumeau mirrors, perfectly adorned with a carved décor. The mirror is topped by a cornice carved with an elegant dentil molding, sitting above a first mirror plate of horizontal shape, surrounded by carved motifs made of foliage and petite beads. The lower section presents a vertical mirror plate surrounded by similar motifs. Boasting a nicely weathered patina, the mirror is painted in a soft color with lots of wood coming through, highlighted with soft blue grey accents, particularly present on the pilasters that are flanking the sides.
