SOLD - Pair of Italian 1870s Carved Wall Brackets with Gold and Black Painted Accents

A pair of Italian painted and carved wall brackets from the late 19th century, with black and gold accents. Born in Italy during the third quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of wall brackets features a flared gilded body presenting a subtle red undertone, adorned with scoop motifs alternating black and gold painted accents. The semi-circular top is painted in black and decorated with gadroons, while the lower section is delicately adorned with acanthus leaf motifs. With their perfectly contrasting colors and elegant lines, these Italian wall brackets circa 1870 will bring a refined presence to any home, perhaps anchoring an enfilade, pair of demilune tables or chests-of-drawers.
