Created in England during the Edwardian era at the beginning of the 20th century, this elegant silver epergne features four small flute-shape vases with flaring mouths and petite beads, surrounding a larger central one supported by scrolling supports connecting all the parts together. Particularly praised from the mid-19th century period onward, epergnes were quintessential Victorian centerpiece decorative items, used to either display fruits, desserts or flowers. Our Edwardian silver epergne was likely made for flowers. Boasting a nicely oxidized patina revealing its age and use, this English Edwardian silver epergne from the early 20th century will make for a lovely decorative addition to any home, particularly place in the center of a table top.
