SOLD - French 1750s Louis XV Period Walnut Enfilade with Inlaid Star and Carved Doors

A French Louis XV period walnut enfilade from the mid-18th century, with three drawers over three doors, carved skirt and fluted side posts. Born in France during the Age of Enlightenment, this walnut enfilade features a rectangular planked top with beveled edges and rounded corners, sitting above three dovetailed drawers. Three elegant doors, carved with delicate flowers and molded panels, make up the rest of the façade. They are flanked with rounded side posts revealing the subtle transition towards the more classical motifs of the Louis XVI period. The enfilade is raised on four short feet, the front ones being scrolled and connected to one another through a carved skirt, accented in its center with a delicately inlaid star. With its nice dimensions and lovely walnut patina, this French Louis XV period enfilade circa 1750 will bring a graceful touch to any home, whether placed in a living room or dining room.
