SOLD (2 OF 2): Two French Circular 12-Light Iron Chandeliers with S-Scrolls from the 1890s

SOLD (2 OF 2): Two large French iron 12-light round chandeliers with scrolled motifs from the late 19th century, priced and sold separately. Each of these French iron chandeliers features a central ring, adorned with an abundance of S and C-scrolls, reminiscent of the quality of metalwork in France during the late 19th century (think Haussmannien balconies). The periphery of the ring hosts 12 simple cupped bobèches with their wax candle sleeves. Exquisite S-scrolls raise their elegant silhouette to provide some verticality to the ensemble, and connect four chains to a central ring. The beautifully weathered patina of the iron, combined with the intricate design of the various scrolls, make these two French, 1890s chandeliers priced at $6,950 each, an excellent choice for any home, perhaps placed in a foyer, living room, dining room or large kitchen. The chandeliers are wired for the US and ready to be hung.
