A French Louis XVI style bronze three-light lantern from the mid 19th century with glass casing. Born in the mid 19th century in the early years of Emperor Napoleon III's reign, this three-light lantern showcases the neoclassical style typical of the Louis XVI era. It features a delicate bronze body with reeded motifs and glass casing. A central shaft, connected to the outer structure through scrolling motifs, supports the three arms, adorned with flower-shaped bobèches and candles sleeves, while the lower section is accented is a petite acorn. With the purity of its silhouette and lovely bronze décor, this French Louis XVI style lantern circa 1850 will bring a touch of elegance to any home. It has been wired for the US.
