Born in France during the later years of King Louis XV's reign, each of this pair of altar sticks is painted in a light grey color complimenting its graceful lines beautifully. Topped with a pricket meant to receive a candle, the piece is adorned with delicate volutes and a finely hand carved foliage décor on the front. Presenting a worn patina revealing their age, these French 1770s hand carved altar sticks will be great decorative additions to any living room or bedroom.
