SOLD - A large English Georgian style mirror from the early 20th century, with broken pediment, carved motifs and whitewashed finish. Created in England during the early years of the 20th century, this large mirror attracts our attention with its striking silhouette and whitewashed finish. A broken pediment carved with acanthus leaves and egg-and-dart motifs, sits above the rectangular frame adorned with protruding corners, motifs echoed from the top, as well as carved rosettes. The lower section showcases an elegant frieze with Vitruvian scrolls. With its great proportions and skillfully executed decor, this Georgian style early 20th century mirror will be a focal point in any home, perhaps hung above a credenza, enfilade or long console table.
