Created in France during the last decade of the 19th century, this fauteuil features a wingback offering great privacy to the sitter, carved with a delicate flower on the crest. The two open arms with scrolling supports are resting on a rectangular seat, reupholstered, along with the back, with a newer fabric adorned with foliage. The chair is raised on four cabriole legs connected to one another through an apron carved with floral motifs in the front.
