SOLD - A Swedish painted wood sofa bench from the early 20th century, with out-scrolling arms and carved splats and waterleaf motifs. Created in Sweden at the Turn of the Century, this painted sofa bench features a pierced back with carved splats, connected to two slightly out-scrolling arms. Showcasing an upholstery with a simple black fabric that is used, the piece is ready for new upholstery. The bench is raised on four tapered legs connected to one another through an apron carved with waterleaves on three sides. Painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, this Swedish bench circa 1900 will bring an elegant presence to any home, perhaps displayed in a living room or bedroom.
