Created in Sweden during the first half of the 19th century, this Karl Johan stool features two spindle shaped arm supports flanking a slightly curving seat newly recovered with a neutral double welt fabric. The stool is raised on an X-form base connected with a carved cross stretcher echoing the arms and accented with medallions. Painted in a soft color, this Swedish curule stool circa 1840 will make for a great decorative accent in any home, whether placed in a living room, bedroom or hallway.
