Born in the Eternal City, this collection of 18th century hall chairs features graceful Rococo silhouettes. Each chair (they are all sides) presents a delicate slightly slanted hand-carved back, adorned with voluted foliage on its crest and a padded serpentine splat covered with double welt suede fabric. Each upholstered seat rests on a delicately scalloped skirt, discreetly accented with carved motifs. The ensemble is raised on four cabriole legs with stylized Spanish feet, connected to one another through a slightly curved H-form stretcher. The result is one of complete elegance, that combines straight and sinuous lines perfectly.
