SOLD Pair of French 18th Century Walnut Buffets with Single Drawer and Diamond Motifs

SOLD A pair of French walnut buffets from the 18th century with diamond pattern motifs on the doors. Each of this pair of French 18th century buffets features a rectangular top with rounded edge over a central single hand-cut dovetailed drawer. Two doors below, adorned with vertical raised diamond motifs, open to reveal an inner shelf. The shelves and backs are of a later date. One of the buffets is a quarter inch smaller in depth and height than the other. The buffets feature their original hardware, which varies slightly between the two, one with an escutcheon, one with a ring pull. The buffets are raised on four very short feet. The beautiful patina and dark color of the walnut wood, combined with the clean lines of the Silhouette and the diamond motifs would make this pair of French 18th century buffets a wonderful addition to any room, perhaps under a pair of trumeau mirrors. The dimensions noted below are for the larger of the two, the second buffet is 50.75" W x 20.75" D x 40.25" H.
