Born under the reign of the Sun King, Louis XIV, this French Carthusian side table showcases the stylistic signature of the Louis XIII period. An unusual rectangular top with concave corners and beveled edges, sits above a single drawer with wooden pull, accented with a delicately scalloped skirt. The table is raised on four elegantly turned baluster legs with rectangular block joints connected to one another through a spindle-shaped cross-stretcher, and rests on petite toupie feet.
