SOLD - French Louis XVI Style 1910s Two-Seat Painted Piano Bench with New Upholstery

SOLD - A French Louis XVI style two-seat painted piano bench from the early 20th century, with new upholstered top, fluted legs and cross stretcher. This French piano bench features a rectangular seat, upholstered with an exquisite brown and black fabric, sitting above a delicate skirt carved with waterleaf motifs on all sides. The seat is long enough to allow two people to sit, the student and the teacher or two people playing a four-hand piece. The bench is raised on four lovely fluted legs, adorned with foliage in their upper section and accented with carved rosettes on their knees. The legs are connected to one another through a cross stretcher, delicately arched in a half-moon manner on each side and accentuated with a carved finial in its center section. This piece is painted in a light grey color showing a lovely patina. With its elegant Louis XVI lines and contrasting upholstery, this French piano bench circa 1910 will bring a graceful presence to any living room.
