SOLD - French Louis XV Period 1745 Solid Walnut Enfilade with Three Doors and Drawers

SOLD - A French Louis XV period enfilade made in solid walnut during the second quarter of the 18th century, with three doors, three drawers and scalloped skirt. Born during the reign of King Louis XV nicknamed the "Beloved", this French enfilade features a long rectangular top sitting above three dovetailed drawers with molded cartouches, opening with wrought iron hardware. Three doors below (a set of double doors and a single one) open to reveal inner shelves offering great storage opportunities. These doors are separated from one another by vertical panels that are both fluted and reeded, and adorned with discreet foliage. The enfilade is raised on four petite scrolled feet, visually connected to one another through a scalloped skirt. The side panels are simply adorned with recessed panels. The grand simplicity of its lines, combined with its lovely walnut patina, will make this French Louis XV period enfilade, circa 1745 an excellent choice to adorn any living room or dining room, perhaps topped with a giltwood mirror and a pair of sconces.
