SOLD: A pair of French Louis XVI style painted wood armchairs from the late 19th century, with carved motifs and new upholstery. Created in France during the 19th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a slightly curving back, adorned with a carved floral decor on the crest and guilloche motifs on the rail. Two open arms with acanthus leaves in the front, flank a central seat newly reupholstered, along with the back, with a new neutral-toned double welt fabric. Each chair is raised on four fluted legs with carved rosettes on the knees. Painted in a soft color, this pair of 19th century Louis XVI style armchairs will bring a touch of French classical elegance to any living room or bedroom. The full measurements are: 28" W (arm width) x 22" D (seat depth) x 41" H. The arms are 25" H and the seats are 16.5" H.
