A French oil on canvas animal painting signed Laroche from the late 19th century with giltwood frame. This French oil on canvas painting features two lovely kittens playing with a stringed cork. Placed on a dark background that brings up the color of their coat beautifully, the painting is centred around the young kittens. A red and white one with blue eye in the front, seems to be completely outraged by the audacity of the cork, which no doubts, keeps bouncing back and forth. The grey and white one with darker eyes, seems to be hiding behind his sibling. The simplicity and tenderness of the scene, complimented by the delicacy of the palmette carved frame, make this French 1890s oil on canvas painting an excellent choice for any wall.
