SOLD A French wooden bench with newly upholstered seat, hand-carved eagles and saber legs from the late 19th century. This delicate French bench features a rectangular seat with single cushion flanked by two slightly splayed arm supports. Each arm is adorned with two slender balusters framing a central carved eagle set inside an oval medallion and surmounted by a floral motif. The ensemble is raised on eight tapered legs, of saber shape in the extremities. With its lovely patina, elegant Silhouette and exquisitely carved décor, this French upholstered bench circa 1890 will be a graceful addition in any home, perhaps placed in a living room or bedroom.
