SOLD - French 1820s Butcher Block Table with Single Drawer, Knife Slot and Carved Apron

SOLD - This French rectangular butcher block table from the early 19th century features a beautiful back with a carved motif in the centre of its crest. The table is raised on four fluted legs resting on ball feet. The nicely scalloped apron on three sides is adorned with a large single drawer with a brass ring pull in the centre, while the knees, sitting atop the legs, are decorated with diamond patterns. A slot, located in the back of the work area, is designated for the knife. This is a fine example of a butcher block, combining functionality and elegance. This French butcher block table, circa 1820 would be a great accent in any kitchen, or anywhere else one might see fit. The dimensions below show the total height, the tabletop is 34.5" high.
