SOLD French Louis-Philippe 1840s Walnut Dining Room Extension Table with Drop Leaves

SOLD A French Louis-Philippe period oval walnut dining room extension table from the mid-19th century with drop leaves, turned legs and casters. Born in the second quarter of the 19th century during the reign of France's last king Louis-Philippe, this exquisite French table dining room table features a walnut top with removable leaves, resting on a rectangular apron. The ensemble is raised on four delicately turned legs in the extremities, assisted by two additional ones in the centre to support the extensions. The legs are resting on brass casters, allowing the table to be moved easily. Once the leaves are removed, the table becomes a small table with drop leaves. Perfect to be used as a dining table, centre table or to be placed against a wall with one or both of its leaves down, this versatile Louis-Philippe walnut table circa 1840 will bring a touch of French elegance to any dining room.
