SOLD A French painted and carved wood six-light chandelier from the 19th century, with scrolling arms, cross hatched motifs and weathered finish. Born in France during the 19th century, this painted chandelier features a central carved column presenting volutes, acanthus leaves, dentil style motifs and cross hatched accents. Six scrolling arms are connected to a gadrooned section, and support the carved bobèches and their candle sleeves. The ensemble is concluded by the presence of a carved finial in the lower section. Wired for the US, this 19th century chandelier, painted in a soft color complimenting the scrolling lines beautifully, will bring a touch of French elegance to any living room, dining room or foyer.
