SOLD A French carved walnut Napoléon III period six-light chandelier from the mid 19th century, with scrolled arms and turned column. This French chandelier was born in the 1860s, during the Second Empire, ruled by Emperor Napoléon III. A central column, adorned with various foliage, is accented with a twisted motif that anchors the chandelier beautifully. The lower ring supports six scrolled arms with acanthus leaves, each comprising a fluted bobèche and a candle sleeve. This French chandelier has been wired for the US and comes with a three-foot chain. With its generous forms and dark patina, this walnut French Napoléon III period chandelier circa 1860 will brighten up any space beautifully.
