A French period Louis XV mid-18th century carved wood enfilade à deux-corps from the Lorraine region. This French cabinet was born in the Eastern Lorraine region of France in the later years of the reign of King Louis XV. Featuring a large molded cornice, this enfilade à deux-corps is made of three tall wooden doors sitting on the enfilade part. The doors are delicately adorned with molded panels placed above curvy cartouches. The doors open to reveal four inner shelves, offering great storage opportunities. The lower section the enfilade is made of three drawers sitting atop three carved doors, whose motifs echoe the upper cabinet. The curvy lines of the décor are delicately accented by the presence of carved flowers, gently leading the eye to the scalloped skirt, adorned in its center with one of those rosettes. The piece is raised on scrolled feet in the front. With its warm patina and elegant Louis XV lines, this French, 1750s Lorraine cabinet will be an excellent choice for any dining room or living room.
