This French two-piece chaise-longue features the typical exquisite and curvy lines of the Louis XV period, carved in walnut. The bergère, along with the second, lower seat extended in an ottoman, is adorned with floral motifs on the crest. The ensemble is raised on delicate cabriole legs. The seats, backs and partial arms are upholstered with plaid fabric, bringing out the walnut structure beautifully. With its sinuous lines and lovely patina, this French Louis XV style duchesse brisée from the 1850s will bring a timeless elegance to any bedroom or living room.
