Born in France during the dynamic 19th century, each of these two Majolica plates features a scalloped edge, surrounding a pastel decor. Depicted on a horizontal cream textured ground, a bird with brown feathers, pink belly and blue accents, is perched in a lively attitude, on an oak tree branch, adorned with green, black and yellow leaves. The ensemble is concluded by a ribbed blue green ground that focuses our attention on the central motif beautifully. Each plate is priced $275.
