Pair of 1890s French Two-Light Brass Sconces with Ribbon, Cherubs and Satyrs

A pair of French two-light brass sconces from the late 19th century, with cherubs and satyrs, foliage and tied ribbons. Born in France during the last decade of the 19th century, each of this pair of brass sconces features a central medallion, adorned with cherubs and satyrs wrestling with one another. Accented with delicate beads and a laurel wreath, each medallion is topped with an exquisite tied ribbon. Two scrolling arms support acanthus-leaf bobèches and their candle sleeves. Wired for the US, this pair of French brass sconces circa 1890 will bring a graceful touch to any home, perhaps anchoring a mirror, painting or architectural panel.
